We can also deal with bankruptcies, if you can also explain what happen to your credit. Normally we are looking at your total gross income, minus your monthly payments(credit cards, car payments, student loans, etc). With what is left of your gross income, the first one third is for taxes, the second one third make your monthly bills and the last one third is your rent payment. This must be close to what you are applying for.
